What is In-Home Respite Care?
Family Support Services In-Home Respite Care is a service that
offers temporary relief for the person or persons who provide primary care for an
individual, regardless of age, who has a developmental disability. Care is provided in the
family home on a short-term basis, to those living in St. Charles County.
How Do I Receive
Services?
Be a client of
DMH Regional Center. (If you are not a client of Regional Center and have a family member
with a developmental disability, call 636-926-1200 and ask for the intake worker of the day.
Regional Center will do an assessment for eligibility and assign you a case Manager.)
  Make an
appointment with Family Support Services (FSS) Respite Director by calling 636-614-1320.
Fill out and submit a
Respite Care Services Report whenever you use
respite services. Reimbursements are made to the family on a bi-weekly
basis (every other week).
