What is In-Home Respite Care?

Family Support Services In-Home Respite Care is a service that offers temporary relief for the person or persons who provide primary care for an individual, regardless of age, who has a developmental disability. Care is provided in the family home on a short-term basis, to those living in St. Charles County.

How Do I Receive Services?

Be a client of DMH Regional Center. (If you are not a client of Regional Center and have a family member with a developmental disability, call 636-926-1200 and ask for the intake worker of the day. Regional Center will do an assessment for eligibility and assign you a case Manager.)

Make an appointment with Family Support Services (FSS) Respite Director by calling 636-614-1320.

Fill out and submit a Respite Care Services Report whenever you use respite services. Reimbursements are made to the family on a bi-weekly basis (every other week). You can access a printable Report here.
