What:  Teen Club is a Therapeutic Recreation Program where teenagers come to relax and socialize at the end of the school day with friends.  Students can receive help with homework, create art projects, enjoy cooking, outdoor activities, field trips, watch and/or participate in after school club activities, sports events and more!

When:  Teen Club is offered after school M-F when school is in session.  Our program is available on the first day of school.  If the students do not already attend one of the schools listed above they will be transported by bus from their school to the Teen Club site.  Participants are to be picked up by a parent no later than 6:00 PM.  Sorry, Teen club is not available on 1/2 days.

Why:  Many hardworking parents work late and have children who may not be able to care for themselves at home alone after the school day is over.  Our staff members are a phenomenal group of individuals who can give you the peace of mind you need.  This group is made up of teachers, para-professionals, college students as well as high school students interested in going into the field of Special Education.

Cost:  The Teen club Program cost is $3.25 per hour.  You will be billed monthly for the hours your child participated in the program.  The Department of Mental Health (DMH) may provide funding for those who qualify.  Contact your case manager at the St. Louis Regional Center for more information.

Medication:
If your son or daughter is taking medication, the school nurse must administer it after school.

School Breaks:
Family Support Services offers Break Camps during the school year. (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) If you are interested in receiving material about these camps, please contact us.
